The most important relationship we can all have is the one you have with yourself, the most important journey you can take is one of self-discovery. To know yourself, you must spend time with yourself, you must not be afraid to be alone. Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom. -Aristotle

DAY 1 :: Muladhara (the Root Chakra). Be Here Now!

Meditation :: LAM + Gyan Mudra for the Chakra Healing portion.

JOURNAL QUESTIONS

  • When do I feel the most grounded and what keeps me grounded?

  • What makes me feel safe and what makes me feel unsafe?

  • What is my relationship like with money? Would I like to shift this? If so, how? What is stopping me? What action step can I take today to shift this?

  • What is your greatest fear in following the career of your dreams?

  • What are some of my limiting beliefs about myself and the world that I am holding onto that are no longer serving me? (Examples: I am not enough, I am not attractive anymore because I am over 30 years old, I need to get married by the time I am 33, I am not married so something is wrong with me, men are better than women, this is also where are racial judgements + prejudices are held - which ones are you holding onto).

TO DO

1.    Feel your feet rooting to the earth throughout the day.

2.    Spend at least 5 minutes in nature today with bare feet. Closing your eyes and just feeling the deep connection with Gaia – with Mother Earth.

3.    EXERCISE #1 :: Have a single piece of paper and your journal next to you.

  • On the piece of paper, write down the limiting beliefs from your journal question.

  • In your journal write down the word AFFIRMATIONS at the top of the page. Underneath this write the opposite of each limiting belief. For example: I am not enough gets written on the separate piece of paper. I am enough gets written in journal under the word AFFIRMATIONS.

  • At the end you will have a list of your limiting beliefs on a piece of paper and a list of AFFIRMATIONS in your journal.

  • Take the list of limiting beliefs and burn it. In the sink or outside. Read the list first and consciously let them go as you burn them. And then take a minute or two read your affirmations.

4. EXERCISE #2 :: Values. Foundations. Alignment with Time.  Do not think too much during this exercise, just write the first things that come to mind.

  • Write down 5 personal foundations.  These are your foundational needs, your personal needs.  What makes you feel deeply rooted and connected to the Earth. Think of your life as if it were a large 50-floor building. In order for a building that large to be stable and strong, what is the most important floor? Examples: Spending time in nature, Having strong boundaries with family, friends and coworkers, Paying attention to my feet, Praying each morning, Eating healthy, Connecting with others, How do you meet your own needs so you do not give all your energy to others?, Creating space for yourself, etc…..

  • Write down 5 personal values. These are your values. Examples: Authenticity, Kindness, Boldness, Compassion, Integrity, Trust, Love, Respect, etc.

  • Write down 5-7 ways you spend your time. This is not how you want to spend your time, how you actually spend most of your time. And then rate how much you enjoy each of these items. Examples: Work 50% of time (I love it), exercising 1x a week (I love it – want to do it more), cooking for my family (I do not like cooking, this annoys me), walking my dog (my favorite thing of every day), etc.

  • Look at these lists, review and contemplate. Then answer the following questions:

    • a.     How can I better line up with my Foundations + Values?

    • b.    Is the way I spend my time in good alignment with my Foundations + Values?

    • c.     If you said yes to b, that is wonderful and keep this up! If you said no to b, how does that make you feel?

    • d.    If you said no to b, ask yourself the following two questions:

      • i.     What is keeping me from being in alignment? What fears, insecurities, and/or limiting beliefs are keeping me from staying in alignment?

      • ii.     What is One Action step I can take this week to be in better alignment?
