What is your idea of having will power?
We live in a society, where keeping up – is applauded. High stress is highly accepted. Keep drinking caffeine and keep going is very common. Are you trying to keep up? Do you drink caffeine just to keep up with your busy life? What in your life, creates stress?
What are 3 limiting beliefs you have about being busy? Example: I have to be a board member of 3 non-profits to show I am enough. The more social I am, the more I feel connected with others. If I do not go to the event my friends will be mad at me – I have to make sure everyone likes me, etc.
What are a few ways you can start to slow down, or a few things in your life you can release (let go of) so you can start to slow down?
TO DO:
Grab your journal and maybe some colored pencils. Sacred Consumption Exercise. Our 3rd chakra is so much about digestion, all aspects of digestion! Food, social media, relationships, etc.
a. Make a list of what you are consuming right now. Once you create this list, look at the list and contemplate. Then next to each item – write nutrient or waste. Here is an example:
i. Social Media – some nutrient + some waste
ii. My 2 daily chocolate chip cookies - waste
iii. 4 cups of coffee - waste
iv. Weekly breakfast with a particular group of women - waste
v. Constant stream of Netlix - waste
vi. News - waste
vii. Sadhguru and Anand podcasts, and other spiritual leaders - podcasts - nutrient
viii. Hiking with friends - nutrient
ix. Hiking with myself - nutrient
x. Dinner with a particular friend – nutrient
xi. A glass of wine each night – waste
b. Now take this list and carry over just the nutrient items. Use your colored pencils here. You are creating a new plan for yourself and how you want to be more in the nutrient zone. You can replace the waste items with more nutrient items. Here is an example
i. Follow only uplifting Social Media accounts.
ii. 30 minutes of Social Media a day.
iii. Start to make my own healthy cookies.
iv. Eat veggies with each meal
v. One cup of coffee a day, drink this in the morning after I eat my first my meal.
vi. Start to watch informative documentaries on netlfix.
vii. Listen to a daily spiritual podcast.
viii. Hiking with friends at least 2x a week.
ix. Take a daily walk or hike by myself
x. Dinner with uplifting friends 1x a week.
xi. Drink tea at night. Buy some fun new teas to make this a treat.
