The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift. - Albert Einstein
DAY 5 :: Visuddha (the Throat Chakra). I Speak My Truth!
Meditation :: HAM + Adhomukha for the Chakra Healing portion.
JOURNAL QUESTIONS
Are you a good listener?
Do you always speak your truth?
How do you currently express your creativity? Writing, Singing, Painting, etc.
How can you express your creativity more? What creative activities bring you joy?
Do you feel like you are free to be your true self?
If I asked you to un-mute yourself, how would that feel and what would you say and to whom?
TO DO: CHOOSE 1 of these exercises, or you can practice all 3!
1. EXERCISE #1: Sing, hum, or chant. Find a place where you won't be disturbed (and preferably with great resonance), and do it with as much authenticity as you can--with your true voice, not your voice as you think it should sound.
2. EXERCISE #2: Listen to someone with your whole self for five minutes; then switch and have them listen to you. Both of you should aim for complete presence, and should not comment on what the other is saying, even with facial expressions. Just listen! If you do not have someone to practice this with —— No worries!!!! Just listen to people throughout the day with your whole self. Offer NO advice or feedback, just listen. Hold Space!
3. EXERCISE #3: Speak up about something that you've been silent about. Speak your truth! (E.g., write that letter to the editor; ask the question instead of just wondering; speak out about what you normally only mutter under your breath.)
